I've created a feature call out for hole call outs, it works fine for holes where there are more than 1 of the same hole. But i would like it to not show 1 x for a hole where there is only one instance.
the call out code is %QC x %DI%HS %HC THRU
Solved! Go to Solution.
Put %QN in the feature callout tab Simple Hole space. Put "%QC x" in the smart depth tab Hole Quantity Note space.
Check out this help topic:
Go into your dimension style, go to the "Smart Depth" tab. In hole Quantity Note, enter in %QC and whatever you want displayed with the count (9 X, 9 PLCS, etc.), then go into the "feature Callout" Tab, under the field "Simple" enter in %QN. This will do as you wish.
@nominus38 I copied what you put and it sorts the smart quantity issue i was having, but one more thing that isnt working is getting the word THRU next to a through hole callout.
In the smart depth tab the hole depth through has been set to THRU. (where yours shows blank)
but what is Your questionnow?
If You put the text "THRU" into a through hole then SE will write this text as smart depth text info to a hole feature.
Therefore there - by default - is nothing for a through hole.
Normally no depth info is needed there, isn't it?
i have the word THRU in the tab shown but the call out isnt picking it up.
i would like any through holes to show the word THRU and any Finite holes with a defined depth to be shown as <DepthValue> DP
I just see that my last answer was dropped by the forum - an error message appeared, that there are service changes.
So can You upload a small example with the draft and the part file to see, why and how?
In any manufacturing, is it normal to state every hole as through? I have only seen otherwise shown, with the specific depth required, if not through. My experience is mostly sheet metal, and some machining, so this request is odd to me. But, I'm happy to learn something new!
