Fill Style in Drawings Question

When I apply a fill style to a part in the drawing environment I am only able to see the fill style when I section the part.

Is it possible to have the fill style show for the part without it being sectioned?

Thanks

Craig

Right click on your view and select "Draw In View".  Apply your hatch there.

Also, that is how you edit the hatch if needed on Section Views.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the reply. I use draw in view quite often. My experience with adding and editing hatch patterns in draw in view has been so-so. I have found that if I have more complex geometry on screen and I want to fill that particular area with a specific hatch most always the geometry will not form a closed loop which means I have to spend a bunch of time manually "closing the loop" of the area I want hatched, which is a time waster. In many cases all I need to do is give a model part a specific hatch pattern so that it can be easily
visually identified in a busy 2d drawing.

Is there not a way to do this simply by assigning a material to a model part and allowing it's material linked hatch pattern to be displayed in the drawing view without sectioning or "drawing in view"?
