Frame Design Questions

Hi all

I have a question about frame design.
I want to process the part like the picture at 45 degrees.

But it's hard to figure out how to handle it.

Frame design is still difficult for me.

I used the part model
I want to extract the frame from the part.
What are some good practices if this is not good?

Thank you for your answers.

I will compress and attach the file that I work on below.

Hi @Hclee1

You only will get a corner treatment as  mitered, when creating both component within the same frame group.

In Your xample those two frame components belong to different frame groups.

Hi @Hclee1

PS.: another issue I have seen within Your frame is, that I'm missing the basic sketch/placeholder part.

Of course YOu can define all frame segments as extra curve in frame environement, but You will see it a lot easier if You  create those lines (curves) in either a 3D skecth in ASM, or - what I prefer - witihn an extra part file.

Also I find it easier and therefore better for me, to use bodies (extrusions) AND sketches (3d sketches) there for defining the segment curves of frames.

You also can use one and the same placeholder ppart for several frame assemblies

Wolfgang

Thank you for answer.
I can not connect an element belonging to another group.
Somewhat unfortunate ..
Have a good day.

Hi @Hclee1

But You can create all of Your frames in one single step, isn't it?

I do not see any obsticles that would prevent that.

Wolfgang

Hi @Hclee1 friend, try not to select many collinear lines when you do not need them, check the video is a possible solution to your problem.

Regards.

It's a good video.
I did another sketch on the shape ...
This is an alternative.
