Similar to @hawcad I wrote this because we didn't have enough Premium licenses for everyone.

It copies the required one to the preferences folder then starts Solid Edge.

Hi Edgers,

if it can help I will upload the script I'm using

Please have first a look into and change the pathes and file names appropriate to Your situation

There are the differnet license type files at the same folder as this script is.

Then I have a linked copy to that script onto my desktop modifying the command line with the additional word like "Premium" in the picture.

So You can use one and the same script file for all variaties of license types You need.

After testing You can delete the "pause" command in the script

Hope it can help

Hi Edgers,

i just have modyfied and updated my old SE_Version macro
and I would like to share it here fore everybody who can use it.

This how it looks like:

After starting the macro will read out the "Preferenes" path of the current Solid Edge version as destination folder. Furthermore it will find all xxxx.dat files in the macro folder itself and put them on the list.

Clicking one list entry will copy those file into the preferences directory

So now You easily can change Your available license types with one single mouse click

Hope it helps and saves time!

regards
Wolfgang

Hi Edgers,

sorry for another psot, but I have modyfied the macro again, so that a double-click on the bottom text field (showing the current location of the license) will open it and show the content within a text box.

This came up by myself for easier control the current content.

This saves me from opening the explorer, changing to the prefrences folder and open the SELicense.dat.

Hope You can use it.

regards
Wolfgang
