Betreff: Getting started with SE Automation - I need some help

As mentioned above, I already installed the spy tool. Smiley Very Happy

It's really cool, but again: It is for trial and error... Or am I wrong?

The Spy tool can give you desired results whe you know how to use it.

If you have an assembly open and press Ctrl+F or any other method to switch to the Front view, Spy does detect this and gives you the command constant. You can either use the enumerated name or just the value in seApp.StartCommand(32812)

For learning Solid Edge programming without trial-error but in a systematic fashion, see these tutorials on my blog:

www.SurfAndCode.IN

There are two sections - basic tutorials and new command making tutorials.

Complete all tutorials - you will have less difficulties with SE API programming after that.

Tushar

I don't know- just throwing it out there. Maybe someone can run with the idea.

@MartinBernhard has provided the complete recipe to setup views in terms of eye and targets in this post.

A little search can easily find this post.

@_Sam_ here's a direct link to start a new topic on the Solid Edde Developer Forum.

Hope you find it useful.
