# Half cylinder, but radius shows up as "L"

Phenom

I was making a print of a pretty simple rolled part that is a half cylinder. When I was dimensioning it, and threw a radius on it, instead of R it shows as L. I've had this happen on parts before, but it was always on parts that had something more complex going on with the rounded area. So I figured it was just a glitch this time, then I go into my part and it displays as L using pmi as well. This is a simple enough part, what the hell is going on with it?

I'm attaching the part, though it has IPC's in it and I'm not going to include the other part, sorry I can't.

I could make it give an R value by forcing it on the dimension ribbon by clicking the radius setting twice. The first click gives you diameter for some reason.

It's because the edge of your Part Copy is not an arc but rather a B-spline curve, thus the dimension defaults to length.

Any idea how this could have happened? What causes things to become a b-spline curve?
