Helical Cutout

My helical cutout is greyed out.  I don't know hot to get it active?

Hi there @JordanMcB,

 

Just checking......that you have a protrusion already inplace, in order to make the "Helical Cutout" from a body volume.....?

yes a protrusion is in place.

What version of Solid Edge are you using? [ST8, ST9] ...and also, what level is it?? [Design & Draft, Foundation, Student Edition, Classic, Premium]

So i guess it is a licensing issue. Nuts have to shell out more cash for the higher version.

Ahh.....I suspect THAT is your issue. "D&D" only provides for "Basic" part design, assembly and motion functions. [I couldn't find more detailed information, on exactly which functions are excluded]
