How flatten this part? Weird.

Hello,

I am trying to convert these parts to sheet metal using various methods and have had no luck. I need to to unbend each individual bend (1 bend is actually 2 bends with independent radii for one part). A simple flat pattern will not do. Please help. Thanks. This is such a wonderful community and a great resource for noobs like me.

That is not what I am looking for. I am looking to unbend each bend independently, not as a whole. So, conversion to sheet metal is needed. Not flatten the entire part.

Re: How flatten this part? Weird.

copy the top surface, use that to create an ORDERED contour flange...

then you can unbend and rebend...

tested this and works well

Ok, not sure how to create a contour flange from a surface in ordered. I know how in sync. Now, I tried what you did originally. First bend unbent great. Second bend unbends into nothing? I unbend it and it disappears, literaly. Not sure what would cause the differences we are having. Can I have the file you created?

Thank you so much. Do you have any clue as why the leg disappears for me and not for you. I did exactly as you did and this is what I get.
