Blaaa... got the same problem again
What am I doing wrong? Must be something basic because people never have those problems when I watch videos of them.
you are over constrained,
overall, flange and flange offset are all driving dimensions
make the flange offset dimension driven (turn off the lock to unlock)
select the dimension and unluck it... then your edit should work
Hmm... I tried that but then it resize the entire flange, not just the one side im trying to change.
in this case it is becasue ;live rules is invoking symmetry!
turn off symmetry... tap "S" on keyboard during edit. be sure to tap "r" to reset after...
expand your relationship collector in the pathfinder . is there a pesisted symmetry relationship. persisted relations over rule live rules.. there has to be one.
awe, yes... i bet you set your slot to be centered about the flange... so when you drag one side the slot stays centered and to do so it "grows" the other side...
you will need to turn off you relationship...
there is an option on the far RH of teh live rules bar that is RElax Dimensions on top and relax relationships on teh bottom toggling that will work too..;
Your correct. I have the slot centered on the flange, so it stay centered when I change width.
Do I need to delete the relation and create it again when the lower part of the flange has been adjusted to the correct width?
Thank for your help so far, I really appreciate your help.
In your case, if I understand well what you need to do, you will need to suspend Live Rules called "Maintain Thickness Chain (H)".
Refer to attached video.
