[ Edited ]

Betreff: How to create Draft Angle in Surfacing

Hi @arekkul

there are 2 questions/hints  I have:

  • why do You us surface ?
    Would it be possible to do the same using body design?
  • If surfaces must be, then You should use the "Rule Surface" command.
    There You can define a draft angle (and more),
    but You would get a new surface rather than a modified original one.

Wolfgang

@Howcad

Hi,

Thank you Wolfgang.

I know how to do it using body design - still learning surfacing hence my question.
I know there are a lot of tricks , different methods to do something.

This is a good question. In practice, what I typically do is get the thing solid, then add draft, or add draft as part of modeling the surfaces, depending on the part. I do believe that this is one area where Solid Edge needs some improved functionality. I would say an enhancement request would be in order to enable draft on surfaces.
