I know we can create a curve using curve from table but is the reverse possible?
I have a CAM whose points i want to extract in excel file.
I have attached the part file.
Also as soon as i transition to synchronous from ordered in this part file the part disapears. Is there a way i can change in to synchronous.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Extracting point from the existing curve would require a custom written macro. There is no out of the box solution.
As far as Synchronous editing of the Ordered part, it is not possible. In Solid Edge, the Synchronous node would be treated like the first Ordered feature, so when you activate the Synchronous node, it rolls back all the Ordered features until you reactivate the Ordered node. If you need to make some changes to the Ordered body similar to using the steering wheel in Synchronous, look at the "Modify" section of the Home tab while in a Part in Ordered mode. You will find commands such as Move Face, Rotate Face, and Delete Face. Unfortunately they do not use the steering wheel for control as do the similar actions in Synchronous, but they will let you do the direct edit you want.
I believe it is not possible.
Perhaps it is better to create a draft from it and mark the points in a table?
I don't have a solution for you
" Is there a way i can change in to synchronous."
You can move the ordered features to synchronous. Right click the last ordered feature and select "move to synchronous".
You can extract points's coordinates without macros.
Here is a video to this:
I hope this helps!
