How to join 2 parts toghether

Creator
Creator

Hello,

I been struggling for few hours to find any option to join two parts together, I wish to create one part that can be 3d printed. I managed to load parts into asselby and aligned them the way I would like them to join.

I would appreciate any help.

I was trying to upload my assembly file but I'm getting this error message:

"The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type."

You put two parts into an assembly, and you wish to turn that into one part?

Try saving the assembly, then do a new .par part, and do a copy of that assembly.

Yes thats correct, I loaded assembly into new .par file however it loads only main plate (second part is not present). When I open same file as assambly it loads everything as intended. As you can see on attached image, im trying to fuse gear with base plate, I have everything aligned but don't know how to make it into single part.

I crated new assembly file then I used "insert component" option to load 2 parts.

I don't know if its right thing to do, maybe you know better approach how to merge 2 parts into one?

Hi @Arkadius

just zippe all 3 files together (2 parts and 1 asm) and upload it here.

Maybe the second part consits of construction faces only.

... and @Arkadius  BTW why not printing the assembly directly as 3D print?

This doesn't need any further task and efforts?

Hi @Arkadius

but as already suggested:

Just open a Part File, insert the ASM (Part Copy) and use the Options for "Adjust Non-Manifold" as well as "Remove Voids"
