Hello,

Do you want that side to be the top plane in a drawing or are you trying to re-orient the part in the model?

The simple answer is to offset parallel planes realtive to the Default planes of the part file.

The other commonly used answer would be to use an object plane or a parallel offset to an object plane.

Re: How to make planes on Solid Edge

When you are creating the view for the drawing, there is a drawing view layout button that looks like a miniature drawing.  Click it and you can select default orthoganal views or you can click on the "custom" button and rotate the model around to select whatever face you want.

Another option is to place the view (even if it's not the one you want) and then use the "principal view" button in the ribbon bar to create orthogonal views until you get the one you want.  Then delete the unwanted views.   I find that faster sometimes.
