How to turn off cursor highlighting?

While my boss is reviewing my designs, he would like me to turn off the cursor highlighting option to help him convey changes and discuss the model.

Thanks

Can you be a little more specific? What environment?

If you are speaking of the "shading on selection" in the assembly environment, for example, you can go to Solid Edge Options-View and remove check from "Use shading on selection" about 1/3 of the way down the page.

The part perimeter will still highlight, but not shade.

might suggest he use zoom or zoom area...  this will give the ability to "point" with the cursor but not select.???

Re: How to turn off cursor highlighting?

Someone also just reminded me of our ability to filter our selection.

In ASM while reviewing items you can turn off component locate via the selection filters

When this is off we will not graphically locate ASM components.

Can use the model geometry option while in part.

NOTE: Beware this can fool if you forget to turn it back off.

Re: How to turn off cursor highlighting?

There is no option to disable it completely, but in the 3D environments with the Select Tool running, you can suspend locating / highlighting of objects by holding down CTRL + SHIFT while the mouse is in the graphic window.

Hope this helps,
