My first thought is to use a contour flange. draw the side view as a single line (top or bottom). Then create a contour flange from that line.
My other Idea is to create dimples, but that is not nearly as simple.
I have the same idea as Chris - Contour flange in ordered, bu will really wait for Sean and Imics to see if this really turns out to be so simple as it appears
Hi there @Aviad,
Just as others have mentioned, easiest way I know to create this form, is by using the "Contour Flange" command.
Something like this.... [ST8 ordered file also attached...can also be done in Sync] To speed the example file up, I used a pattern for the multiples, but could just as easily be part of the profile.
It really is, just as plain as the geometry you see in my previous screen image.....hope this video helps.
One thing, not so easy to pick up in the video, is the key stroke "A" [for "Arc"], while creating the line segments of the profile. I also omitted placing a line [set to construction] to center the node, and any dimensions.
If you have ST8, you can interogate the file I attached previously, to see all of what I did......the pattern [may not be how you want to do this] has a few formula driven dimensions on it, and that's pretty much it.
were You succesfull with unbend the patterned contour flange?
I only was able to unbend it (sync and sequ) when only havin one contour flange but not after pattern it.
