Identical Part to Text Profile

With this video shows identical parts. Granted... the parts are installed. I am attempting to add a text profile to each separate part. I've tried the family of parts with the proper text. I still come up with identical text on all parts. Do I need to start all over?

Thank you

When you put parts in assembly, they are the SAME part, shown multiple times. If they are in fact unique, there are two ways to do this, depending on what you need:

1. Most often -- you want different parts for the different lettering. Do this:

a. Choose the "Replace Part with Copy" command

b. Define a new filename

This creates a copy of the original PAR file and reattaches that one in that location

c. Add the text to that unique part.

d. Rinse, repeat.

2. Less frequent -- The parts are identical from a part # point of view. And the difference is in the context of THIS ONE ASSEMBLY. In this case do this:

a. Use "Assembly Features" to create the text. Assembly features APPEAR IN THE CONTEXT OF THAT ASSEMBLY ONLY. If you open the part you will not see the text.
