Inspect Obtuse Angle Results

Couldn't help but notice over the past 2 years that ST6 would not give a straight readout when measuring an obtuse angle in the part/assembly environment.  Just upgraded to ST10.  Problem still appears.  Does anyone know if maybe I'm using the tool wrong?  Other modeling softwares seem to tackle this with ease.  For some reason with Sold Edge I'm stuck doing more math after the command.

Capture.PNGThe angle is actually 195 between the two planes.Capture 3.PNGWhat the * does this mean?

Hi,

I suggest using Measure command with Angle option... It's a smart solution.

That seems to work.  Not sure why the "inspect angle" button doesn't work the same.

Hi @ATonellato

as mentioned and suggested already by @Imics to use the SmartMeasure tool would always be the best.

The result of the old angluar measurment is the angle between the two surface normals.

So this is/was an old mathematical approach using vector algebra as in my very old times.

But of course this alone must not be the excuse of deliver the smalle angle between those two planes
