HI, building my sketch to create my conveyor wich is 612 m long. After creating my sketch I try to attach parts and assembly that will be linked to it . Beyond 500 m I can't even add a PMI cause I can't snap to anything on the sketch. When I shorten my sketch below 500 m it works.
Please tell me there isn't a limit to the length of a sketch.

There seems to be another problem with the sketch, we created another one frome scratch and works fine. This specfic sketch is the problem. Any help?
Doesn't seem to be a problem with the length limit.
1. Try changing the units to meters or km instead.
2. Cut/Copy the sketch elements and Paste to original coords.
What is the ST version and MP version ?
ST7 , Strangely the sketch works fine until we move the lines inside the sketch to a new position (to have the origin at another position). then it becomes undetectable.
I tried adding the the .asm as an attachment , got this as a response:
The attachment's LAYOUT1.asm content type (text/plain) does not match its file extension and has been removed.
Guess you can't do that.
Try to center the conveyor sketch on the CS,
If you want to go by the book, the volume of a file should not be beyond the 1km3. (500m in all direction)
However i think Assembly can be bigger then that, the problems emerge when people will want to use a common origin for part and assembly.
This will cause the volume of a part to exceed the 1km3 limit if oyu do not pay attention.
In your example one end of the conveyor is like 610m away from the origin, If you create a part having the same origin as the assembly you will have a portion of that part that will fall behind the 500m distance mention above.
To overcome this, place the part origin closer to the end of the conveyor. This way none of the part feature will be too far from part's origin.
Yes, this geometry extends the boundary of the known [but very annoying] 1KM cube limit in the Parasolid kernel. I beleive it relates to model space only.
It works as expected when the geometry is moved to within this. [I just centered it to the WCS]
