Issue copying with callouts and dimensions

Ok, seriously this has been driving me crazy since we converted to ST10. I don't recall having these issues with previous version.

So, I have a nice little cabinet on the 2D model page.  It is nicely dimensioned and has some lovely callouts.  Now I want to make a similar happy little cabinet to the right of the first one, with the same dimensions and callouts, then I'll adjust it from there.  I select all of cabinet one by dragging a selection window over all it, use the move/copy command to create a copy, and put the copy where i want it.  Sounds great, right?  Easy, shouldn't be a problem.  Well except for the fact that some (not all) of the callouts get copied, the text stays in the place and the arrow is now pointing across everything.

See the attachment called "copied"

So, if i want to work around this annoyance, Could copy/paste or cut/paste a minor extra step but still easy, no big deal right?  Nope, when I do that some of the dimensions decide to not get copied with everything else. So now I'm forced to try to find all the now missing dimensions and re-dimension my drawing.

What am I doing wrong, because obviously this is some simple functionality that should be working fine?

and to answer the first questions people ask:

yes, my computer is plugged in

yes, I have installed the latest service pack.

Thanks in advance.

Glad your machine is plugged in!

A video of your workflow might be more helpful.

Hi @bziegler

as already mentined by @bshand a video could say more than 1000 words,
and also important to us: "Are we talking about a 2D draft of a 3D model or is it still a 2D draft (assume that due to the word "model space")

Though I am not able to verify the problem using an assembly I have,

would suggest to select the view, callouts, etc. and drag them with the control key pressed, instead of using the move/copy command from the ribbon.

Hi @bziegler

just doing the same here within a 2D draft in model space and see the result - it works fine!

@bziegler, Not sure what it is about those two callouts. But it would be easy enough to upload that dft so we can take a peak.

Hi there @bziegler,

I presume you are using Free2D drafting here [so no Maintenance Patch installed].......I just made a similar drawing test here, with various dimensions/relations/callouts, and was able to fence select all, then move [with copy] to get an exact duplicate, as expected.

There must be items not being selected correctly, or something......remember, the direction the fence is dragged [left or right] makes a difference to how the selection responds.

HI @SeanCresswell

did the selection in both directions without finding any difference.

As soon as You have selected the items (callouts) the will be moved/copied correctly.

See video.

And I also assume that it either is an issue of missing MPs or of operating system (win7 or 10)

PS.: the free 2D download at least should have the MP3 included
