Item number on individual draft sheet

Can we add the balooned number(Item No) of a part annoted in the part list (Usually placed on Assembly draft file) in the draft file on that particular part.

For Eg: If the item No. of a part named "Base plate.par" is 05 in the part list then item no "05" should be indicated on the draft file of Base Plate (Base Plate.dft)

This will help in locating the part in the part list file from the individual drawing.

Hi,

Yes, you can do this. Important that part file must be in the same draft file. This is new in ST7. Smiley Wink

Here is a video about two solutions:

Thanks  Imics . But I generate different draft file for different parts. So think it cannot be done.

Re: Item number on individual draft sheet

What is the annotation string to use an item number as part of an annotation?

Re: Item number on individual draft sheet

Hi,

I'm using the "Reference text" what is new in ST7.

Sheet is the first because assy drawing view is on it. Source type is Baloon, because I'd like to query item number from it.

Here is the help to this:

Re: Item number on individual draft sheet

What is new is that item bubles work when used on items that were not drafted through assembly views. An indevidually brought in view will now label the item number if the BOM already exists. I'm not sure if it will work with flat patterns
