I am having issues with ST6 on Windows 8.1. Solid Edge istalled without any errors but when i try to run it i get this popup.
when i click OK i get
then I go
click OK and nothing happens.
I tried following some advices like: turning off antivir, edit someone elses license file etc. but nothing seems to be working.

Is there any way support could generate licence file for us? Even though licence manager seems to be working fine it does not create SELicence.dat file. This might be the soultion here.
Unfortunately my Examination time will start soon. feeling blue.
So, I can't join the team to solve this problem now.
Could you please upload how to solve with easy English and screen shots.
My condition is follows
OS : Windows 8.1Pro
Installation file : SolidEdgeV106JAPANESE_32Bit

You can not find it because it is not there. The manager should generate one for you but it does not which is the source of whole problem. I thought support team is on this forum but it looks like we will have to contact them personally and ask for sending the file.
P.S. the license file should be located in /Solid Edge ST6/Program/SELicense.dat
Just to be sure here...as there are different methods for what type of install you are doing.....if this is indeed "Student Edition", then you will have been emailed the correct license file [or Code], with instructions on how to install it.
However, if you are installing and licensing the "Academic Version", then you will have to be provided with the code for that, which I think is provided directly from the school/college/university.
