Hi, i'm working on a ball joint with a sphere and a plate mounted on it, i want to prevent every collision by giving a limit to the movement, is that possible?
Here a video showing the movement, as you can see the parts now are able to go one through the other:
You could limit an angle mate.
I tryed but doesn't seem to work, probably because the part can rotare on multiple axis at the same time (because is a tangent mate on a sphere).
try to work with "motor feature" if you just want to show how it works.
This feature require not fully constrained part to move, rotate the subjected part.
How about a path relationship? Use a slot path or draw a sketch in assembly.
When you use drag components, use detect collision+ stop movement when collision.
It'd be cool if there was a gimbal relationship with collision detection or something along those lines which would function like the drag component but maintain as a constraint.
Maybe this kind of arrangement with a path constraint. The circle is the path, the line is the follwer. Sorry for the crappy video.
