In my projected view of an assembly, I need to create a "Broken-Out" view. I also need to add break lines because the view has a long beam in it. If I create the break lines first, I can not add a broken-out view at all. If I add the broken-out view first, it will allow me to create the break after, but when opening the draft to do more work, or update views, the broken-out view disappears from the projected view. IF I remove the break lines, I can then again see the broken-out break lines, but they are not as they were placed. Ordinate dimensions that are connected to the beam (that gets the break), tend to shoot out as if it was unbroken and have to be repaired often. Anyone have a fix? Tip?
Using ST6, Ver. 106.00.09.03 x64
As a possible workaround, you might try the section view tool in your assembly. It's in the PMI tab. I started using sections rather than broken out views becuase I find them easier to manage. You just select them in the properties dialogue for the view.
