So, I have this part that is part of this assembly that happens to be mergerd together as a part. I have no clue how to either delete the large sheetmetal piece and blocks or extract the middle piece from it. It is the part connecting the two I need. Any help is appreciated.
Please use this link as the website is giving me errors to upload it.

so this is one solid body... I was hoping git may open as multi body but did not...
So you could make 100+ cutout as needed to trim away what you don't need and be left with your desired geometry... BUT...
Since you are after a sheet metal part here is a little trick... Barrow the faces of the sheet metal part you desire, thicken that and convert to sheet metal... BAM!!!
all can be done in just over 2 minuates

Matt, I'm having trouble with screencast. See the attached. How do I make it bigger?
i dont know why your window is so small but once the video starts there should be an icon on the far bottom Righthand. you may need to scroll right and down to find it. if you select that icon it makes the replay fit to screen or full screen.. let me know if that helps?
my replay is actually larger than the window size i have to hit this fit icon so that the entire screen capture is visable in the window.
i think it has to do with what resalution i recorded at vs what its viewed at... but not toatly sure...
the icon is NOT visable until you start playing the video...
That was some pretty fancy gunslinging there, Matt. Had to watch it a few times and I'm still not sure exactly what you did.
Is there any way to slow down playback?
Here you go, made me stay late here at the office on a Friday...
But anythign for the Solid Edge Community... we're all in this together!!!
Let me know if this helps at all...: http://screencast.com/t/43zroTaA
