Normal to selection, tangency magnitude value, what is the unit? What does the value represent?

If you select normal to selection in tangency control, for example when creating a loft, you can type in a value for tangency magnitude. What is the unit for this value, what does the value represent in the context of the model?

Thanks

I believe the number is unitless, just a value up to 10....

I believe the number is unitless, just a value up to 10. It's probably based on the relative spacing of the U-V curves on the surface, but I'm not sure about that. 10 is almost always too much, and 1 is almost always too little. As far as what it represents, you might say it's the influence of the tangency direction over that side of the feature.
