Hi every one, i need your help to sort out an issue in solid edge.
when i tried to open a .DWG file in solid edge i'm getting error message as "Error Retrieving Options Information" if i click ok then i'm getting error as "Cannot display translator options, or there are no translator options for this file type" & i'm not able to open it.
when i try to save a draft file in .DWG format, i'm getting same errors & i'm not able to save it.
please help me to understand what could be the reason for this issue & how to solve this.

before openeing the DWG try to go to the options once.
Maybe the point onto an INI file (tarnslation options and definitions) which doesn't exist any moree or where You don't have permission to read it.
Go through all those steps and save a new INI finally.
Try it again and I'm quite confident that it will work.

unfortunately i'm getting same error if i click "Options" after selecting any .DWG files.
can You try to change the user account, to login with another user?
This is to find out wether the problem is based on some user settings or if there is a general problem.
Do you have the indicated folder and file?
This sounds serious if there is not a corruption/cfg. issue.
I have a couple of questions...
Is this happening w/ all files or certain ones?
Where did the .dwg files come from? And, are you sure they are in good condition?
What version are you on?
It sounds like there may be a version conflict or corrupted file if these workflows you are using succeed in other cases. If not, it sounds like some sort of configuration problem.
In either case, we would need more information to debug this. It appears to be working for me, if I'm not missing something from your workflow. It would probably be best if you could log a I/R so you can provide the configuration, test case and specific workflow necessary to reproduce the problem you are seeing.

the file which you are highlighted is missing in that machine, i have copied from another machine & pasted over there and now its working fine. Thank you.
