maybe anybody here can explain following - for me - strange info from my notebook.
I am using a celsius mobile workstation with a Quadro K1000M in it.
But the Solid Edge Performance Test as well as the NVIDIA Systeminfo (nvidia driver is installed and running) shows an Intel HD Graphics 4000 Display
Solid Edge also uses the fiull hardware grafic within its settings.
Has this to do with notebook, motherboard, K1000M?
Thanks for any answers
All of your laptops with the newer Intel processors have integrated Intel HD graphics even if they have a discreet graphics card. With NVIDIA's driver, it will manage using the HD Graphics for things like Office use or other non-3D use and then auto-switch to the Quadro graphics when an app needs 3D. This is done to conserve power in the laptops. See the following: http://www.nvidia.com/object/optimus_technology.html
OK, and how can I let the notebook know to use the Quadro instead of the Intel?
For me it seems as Solid Edge use the onboerd INtel and not the Quadro.
Could that be?
