Re: Open Type font in Solid Edge

Per GTAC Solution Center article 002-7004573, OpenType fonts are currently not supported in Solid Edge.

Re: Open Type font in Solid Edge

Usually online it's easy to find the same font in TTF format.
Or you could try a OTF to TTF conversion tool.

This is the first I found with google search: https://everythingfonts.com/otf-to-ttf

@Fiorini Thanks! Didn't knew this was possible.

What I did:

Type the text in Illustrator

export as dwg

open in draft

copy sketch

paste in part.

Ahh yes, those hurdles we have to jump, in order to get "exploded" text to use as geometry.

In fact, THIS belongs in the "How to spot a real Solid Edge user" topic! [already in the pet peeves]  Robot Frustrated

That was one of my biggest bullet points to address with the Solid Edge team at the recent Boston usergroup meeting! I hope something is done in a coming verison...
