An assembly is created in which a component is build-in:
Teil AAA 1183.asm //The assembly
Teil AAA 1184.par //The component
With the F2 key is a Comment added to this component:
Teil AAA 1184.par1:Comment //The commented component
The component is Revised with the Revision Manager:
Teil AAA 1185.par1:Comment //The revised & commented component
In the Revision Manager it seems that the component got a new revised file name:
Teil AAA 1183.asm
Teil AAA 1185.par
But in Solid Edge it seems that its "name in the PATHFINDER" isn't correct:
Teil AAA 1183.asm
Teil AAA 1184.par1:Comment
It seems that the name in the Pathfinder is changeable/Commentable and it is not the real File Name.
In the Pathfinder Commented Name remains as it is although it is revised several times.

Solved! Go to Solution.
So when you use F2 to edit it in Pathfinder, you have no way to reset it. Right click on the part and select "Occurrence Properties". A form will open and on the left you will see a column named "Placement Name". Right click on it and select "Reset Default Name". It will now default back to it's correct file name. (used to be able to edit fields here, but not anymore apparently... clearing it here reset it)
If you want to include additional data for any part in Pathfinder and elsewhere, see the Document Name Formula located on the Helpers tab (ST6) in Options (may be on the Manage tab in previous versions). With that you can include the file properties of the file in the Name Formula including the Title, Keywords, Category, etc... This is automatic once set and if you fill out the properties on create of a file, you already have the data needed and it shows up virtually everywhere including the Window titles.
