Part copy in body

Hi, 

 

My name is Marcel Faur, and I am macanichal design engineer.

I have a question.

How can I transform a 3D model of the part copy in body, because it can not do extraction boleean.

But I don`t have that option there. look at the print screen.

Did the Part Copy command warn about no design bodies in the selected file ?

I got the part, so I got it, I just had to do something for this part and I need it in body feature.

1. Did you get an IGES/STEP file that you opened in Solid Edge?

> In the file open dialog, click the Options button and match the settings as below:

2. As you mentioned you got the part, was it a Solid Edge part with the geometry already imported and given to you ?

> Save As Translated the part to either IGES/STEP and open back the exported file with the options set as above.

 

With this, you will get only one entry in the Pathfinder as Partcopy instead of the multiple seen now.

Right-clicking it will enable the Design/Construction toggle.
