Hi there @John_7,

One would normally use assembly relationships to position the parts in Assembly......alternatively, if they are in modelled in the correct location in model space, then hold the "Ctrl" key down while dragging your parts into the ASM file, and it will be placed as "Grounded".

Hi @John_7

as already said by @SeanCresswell

You should not try to model the part in their ASM position, but with their production position and then You will place them in Your ASM, or even better, You will place them in many assemblies as the need to be placed there.

Or imagine, that one and the same part will be used several times in one assembly.

How will You model this?

Wolfgang
