Performance: par versus psm in large assembly

Hi!
if I want modelling a simple 3D, without bending, there are performance's differences between par or psm files (in ordered mode)?
I have large assembly with 70 psm and par, with 70 assembly features and I waste time during I work with it. It needs a lot of time for modify features.

what exactly do You have?

 

An assembly with 70 parts and there are assembly features created on them?

Or an assembly with 70 part related to each other (assembled)?

 

And there is a difference wether those are parts or they are PSM?

I have 1 assembly (father) with 1 assembly in it (child).
The assembly child has 70 components : par and psm, not only 1 type. The psm files are more than par files.
The assembly father has the assembly child and the assembly features on it.
