I'm working on a product design and the guy that helps me with the CAD design is on holiday. I have a 3d printer which I prototype from, but one of my parts isn't suitable for printing so i need to chop the side sections off so i can print it as two parts.
I've tried loads of times but it keeps saying you can't delete this part, I think it's because some of it was done in synchronous.
Would anybody be able to take the attached file and split it as shown in the other screenshot also attached. To an experienced modeller it will take ten seconds. I'd pay somebody to do it on odesk but it would take too long and I need to get it printed. I would be indebted, and will pay £5/$5 as a paypal gift for the trouble. If thats against the rules then I'll still be over the moon if it's done for free.
This was done in ST7, so hope that's what you are using...
ST6 but I managed to open it in solidworks and convert to stl for printing.
You are a super star. Many Many thanks for taking the time to do it
If you want that fiver private message me your paypal address
The fiver is not necessary, your thanks is plenty. Glad it worked out for you.
