I'm trying to print to PDF a stack of drawings using "Print Drawings" many of these drawings have two or three sheets. However, I cannot get it to print all of the sheets into one adobe file for each drawing. It wants to print each sheet as a seperate file. Is there an option somewhere that I have missed.
Multiple sheets just throws all of the drawings into one file
So we get:
12345 sheet 1
12345 sheet 2
54321 sheet 1
54321 sheet 2
all in one PDF with the file called "composite"
What I require is:
12345 Sheet 1
12345 Sheet 2
in one PDF called 12345
OK....I should've qualified that with, "I've never actually tried it".....well, until now.
So I changed the option in the printer [in this computer it is FoxitPhantomPDF Printer] options, to use default file name & folder....and the output was the same as if I used my normal method, of Save As Translated, to PDF for this type of document creation.
Yes, I see your issue now....it either does single sheet PDF's of the individual drafts, or combines the multiple draft files into a single multisheet PDF.....you may continue in your frustration, while I sleep.
i believe you have to set your PDF default options 1st by manually saving a draft to PDF.
In the save as translated options there is an option to print active only or all sheets.
once you do this manually then you can use print drawings and should get all sheets.
is using the Batch tool an option for you?
that should print using the print settings therefore givign you all the sheet.
I knwo we went through this same issue recently and have gotten it to work...
I think Batch is the way we ahve choosen to do it currently.
Also note that EDGE PUBLISHER has a free batch print utility that works really well.
i've tested this and really like it, it just does not work well with our insight files.
