Property manager to Variable Table

Hello Edge Users.
I have a question today too .. ^^

I have included a user registration item in the Property Manager.
For example, you registered the "Quantity" item in the Property Manager.

I would like to move this item to "Variable Table".
Is it possible?..

Hi @Hclee

what's about doing it the other way round.

Create a variable and expose it.

This will bring You an additional property linked to that variable.

Variables my only be placed into tables on a line by line bases. Parts lists (per part) hole table (per hole) etc.

in ST9 there is no way to place variables into a table of any kind cell by cell.

Hi @hawcad

As you can see, the property manager will not be able to modify the value.
I want to change the value in the variable table by modifying the value in the property manager.
The variable table is cluttered with many items.

Hi @12GAGE

I want to create a new variable and insert it into that part.
I want to modify the value of the variable table in the property manager, regardless of how I insert it.

HI @Hclee

I think YOu also might to accept the way of usage.

If You want to have number and to calculate something You need to go via variables and afterwards You can expose them to have access over porperties too.

If You want to have properties (text) You only can do this via properties and via proeprty manager (which only is one way to enter them).

And IMHO it doesn't make to much sense to change this behaviour.

I think that it was a big enhancement to have variables being exposed and variables also shown for BOM and draft header properties.

I will not think that any changes here will be the most important enhancement we need for Solid Edge.
