Pull with force?... or something else

Hi,

How can I make the "arm" pull to the left, so it will connect with the flange?

We are going to connect a spring between the 2nd hole and a bracket (in the cover) - this will force the arm to connect with the flange - not sure if that is possible with SE.

I made a small video to show my problem:

Hi @Kenneth

I would like to say, that this will not be possible with standard SE functions, maybe with additional construction surfaces and extra relations.

It could be worth to take a look into Simply Motion.

There springs can be defined as well as contacts.

But all has to be considered more in detail.

Wolfgang

Thanks for the reply.

What kind of extra relations would you recommend?

HI @Kenneth

I can imagine that a Path relation will do that for You!

Connect the outest edge of Your arm to the edge path of Your flange

I just tested this with a different assembly where YOu can connect a line/edge to the chained edge of another part and now You can move that along it.

Maybe it is not 100% exact in Your case, if not only the edge is touching the flange, but then YOu have to use a Cam relation

Wolfgang
