SAT file import to REVIT Issues

Experimenter
Experimenter

This is an old issue, but hoping for new answers. I save my model to SAT format. When I import to REVIT, i get an error that some numerical data was out of range and was truncated. Then the model is imported, but another message says some ACIS data could not be imported. the resulting model is then inserted to REVIT, but I am unable to position it.

Have many such errors about ACIS data that could not be imported.

Hello,

if you have REVIT it is possible to import IFC (2x3).

IFC is possible to export from Solid Edge ST8 up to newest version.

However you like to export SAT that try it in Version 7 that helps with the compatibility.

Best Regards

Wolfgang

I do use SAT 7 but still have the same problem. I have also tried IFC with the same result. I have read a thread on the REVIT forum that said they were working on the issue. That was in REVIT 2017. I have 2018 and still no fix.

Okay, than it is a problem from Revit.

Now I think to export SAT 7 or IFC and convert it before import it to 3D dwg for Revit.

Possible as example with DDS Cad viewer or Pcon Planner as examples.
