I tend to be wordy, so I'll just give the raw facts:
Solid Edge Viewr ST7 is not displaying OCR fonts properly.
They OCR fonts are in the Windows\Fonts directory, and are TrueType
They display correctly when viewed in Solid Edge itself, just not when viewed in the Viewer.
Does SE ST7 Viewer pull its font directory from Windows, or does it use the ones located in its own font folder?
If this is the case, do we need to convert the fonts we want to use over to the Type 1 Format?
Solved! Go to Solution.
What kind of document are you viewing with SE Viewer?
The document type is a DFT (draft). It was created in Solid Edge.
EDIT: I realized I originally indicated the the DWG file extension, which was incorrect.
Found the solution - figured I would post it here in case anyone else comes across the issue.
The font displayed normally when the sheet was saved as a DWG and opened with SE Viewer.
Was trying to view it from it's Draft format earlier (DFT)
I do know that when viewing a Solid Edge DFT file in SEViewer, you aren't actually viewing the same thing as Solid Edge. Solid Edge saves special "viewer data" on Save for use in the SEViewer and that must be where the issue is occuring.
