We have some files that have blocks defined with shapes and text. Sometimes when I copy objects from one drawing to the next the text changes as the objects are pasted into the drawing. Is there any kind of setting or some method to control this so that the exact same info is pasted in as was copied?
Can you check if those 'text' are block labels.
Block labels can use Property Text linked to documents properties which can vary, hence your observation.
You can either Open the block or UnBlock it when copy-pasting, but I am sure it will make it bit useless for the given purpose.
The blocks are simple schematic objects. Like a hexagon with text inside. On this particular drawing, every time I copy a block, the text in the block changes from Arial Narrow to a Solid Edge Font, which spreads the text out too much. Doesnt matter if I copy within the drawing or from another. Once copied, if I double click the block to edit the block in place, the font is correct. Exit block editing, check the block Properties, the text has the Solid Edge font. I see no link in the text properties. Baffling, and annoying, as I now have to change each block to the correct font - and there is no global propery editing on blocks apparently.
Unable to recreate the problem.
Can you attach a Draft file with the block inserted.
