My co-worker has been having an issue since we installed ST9. I have attached an image showing the issue. Basically if drawing any sketch or showing any dimension "a line trail" will appear ......like theres a graphic issue. Hes been using the same computer since st4 (i think) with no problem......now dealing with this since st9.
Any suggestions / ideas on what this issue is or have a solution???
his computer specs are:
-dell precision t3500
-intel xeon w3530 @ 2.8 ghz
-windows 7 64 bit opterating system
-amd firepro v7900 (fireproGL V)
I don't know if this will help but maybe there's an older driver that would work better:
specifically the "certification matrix" tab.
For the line trail issue, try this:
1. Go to Solid Edge Options
2. View Tab
3. Application display area (in the right panel)
4. Check off 'Automatic Selection'
5. Select from the list 'Graphics card driven (Adv)'
See attached image.
Restart Solid Edge if required.
Hope this helps.
that specifically did not work.....BUT.....i changed one of the settings to "software driven advanced" and the problem has went away. Not sure if there are any downfalls to having SE on this selecting????
Now this is not my computer.....it seems like maybe its running a bit slow but i dont know if its any different than previously (being slower). I will have him let me know if its running slower or if im just used to my machine being faster.
I will keep you all updated.
I will revert to your recommendation if the "software driven advanced" selection seems to be slowing down his machine!!!
With "software driven" setting you totally bypass the graphics card and let the CPU do all the job.
The question is why ST9 goes that bad compared to ST8 ?
By the numbers of complains it is obvious that something went wrong, I do hope that someone at Siemens will start to investigate and try to solve this issue.
If many users encounter this problem, they will fix this problem.
However, this is the user's computer or operating system ..
It can be caused by another program.
I have seen cases where this happens for each version.
After all, they bought a new computer.
In my opinion,
Siemens will not fix it because of PC problems.
