SEEC Multi-CAD Save Driven References

Experimenter
Experimenter

We are working in a Mullti-CAD Company with Teamcenter, NX, Solid Edge, and want to make full use of the "driven reference" functionalities.

The problem we have is that Solid Edge user has no write access to the original Item revisions because;

the imported NX files are created by another users group or the imported ItemRevisions are released

Everytime the Solid Edge Assembly is opened the Multi-CAD models are translated.

Is there solution or workaround to save these driven references to teamcenter?

(Solid Edge the Multi-CAD option "Save driven references to Teamcenter" is switched "on")

might suggest that you cross post to the Teamcenter Forums as well, here is a link to TC admin forum... https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/Teamcenter-Administrators-Forum/bd-p/Teamcenter-Admi...

Essentially you have already defined both your issue and the solution.

You have "Save driven references" turned on but your Teamcenter group and user permissions are preventing these driven references from being saved.  Either turn off the "Save driven references" option and suffer the performance penalty every time you open the multi-CAD in Solid Edge or modify your Teamcenter permissions such that your Solid Edge users can then save the generated driven references under the associated Item Revision. Something has to give -- either open performance or user permissions -- you cannot have both.
