I have never understood why it is only 4 drafting backgrounds in SE
And just wide backgrounds.
I understand that many people want to create their own templates, but for those of us who do not need our own custom backgrouns, it would have been nice if there had been a larger selection default, maybe for all default sheet size.
As some other cad software has.
Does anyone know if there are any ready-made drafting background packages any place we can download.
Or does anyone want to share their background package?
so I can not understand this "request" or complaint.
I must say, that I do not know any user or customer who does not have adapt the draft templates to his requirements.
And, if You - as You mentioned - do not need any adaption, just use the DIN template of Solid Edge.
There will be all paper sizes from A4 to A0 and A4 in both orientations too!
No need for any additonal efforts or work to do.
You dont understand my question.
Are you living in her Wolfgang, you coment all posts in this forum
But my question is about that It is only 4 wide titleblock backgrouns default in SE.
Hi there @centernorway,
Seeing as almost EVERY company has their own version [same, but different] of a Draft template layout, only base is installed by default.....and seemingly the background sheets have always only ever been delivered as landscape.
It really isn't that big of a deal to create your own, based on that and rename them to suit your company. I have them for the four business sectors of our company, and focused mine to only be on A3 sheet size, in both Landscape [the default] & Portrait layouts.
and my answer was, that if You use the DIN template then You will found even 7 backgrounds.
A0 to A4 (both landscape as well as portrait) and a BOM background.
The templates just are files, so You can copy it to Your template folder, YOu can rename it as You like and You also can change the drafting standard accordingly.
I do not see, where the problem might be.
And no, I'm not living here!
And here just for showing it:
And also the DIN template IMHO has the better proeprty text information already in use.
So from there YOu will be able to adapt it in a much easier way as e.g. using the ISO template.
Thanks @hawcad , I've looked at DIN [and others] templates and only find landscape backgrounds. I have favoured the ISO templates, since forever ago, and quite stubbornly, have kept the same base template over the years of releases.
Sorry Wolfgang, but I have to disagree, you really DO live here! This forum is your 2nd FAMILY home.
Thank for tips everyone.
Looks like I have to draw my own titles block backgrounds then.
My opinion is that when you buy software for xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx dollars, there should be tons of bakgounds to
I think I should developed the best cad software if I could, and if I had the skils an money.
It is not any perfect cad software out there yet
