ST10 Hole Table

Phenom
Phenom

I am running a dual install and trying out some of the ST10 features and I seem to be stuck on the hole table.

It looks like there are some great improvements with the table being merged into all the other tables so they can be controlled by style and such. However, when I place a hole table, I am only interested in the size of the holes and the count. I do not want the X and Y coordinates in the table - they are already dimensioned on the drawing.

Inthe past you could skip the definition of the X and Y origins and move on to select the holes. This does not seem to be possible in ST10. What am I missing? I am certain it is obvious, but I can't seem to see it.

TIA,

I believe you have always had to DEFINE the x and y first, even if you aren't even going to use them in the table. Has you place x, has you place y, then you can select holes and select what version of table, but I'm pretty sure you could never really skip the defining of the x and y. If they don't matter just select something then place and it's out of the way.

No. I just tested it in ST9. If you don't want coordinate origins defined you just skip that step and select the holes. The select icon is active even without selecting coordinate origins.

I don't want the origins shown on my drawing when they are not used.

Yes, looks like a backslide of functionality.  Looks like a PR...

HI @rehenryjr

but when the only info You want to get out is the size and the hole counts, then I have to aske why You want to use a hole table?

You say You already have dimensioned the positions in the veiw and so to say I assume the size too.

Why do You not use that size dimension to add the hole counts of those holes.

%QN for the Smart Amount

%QC for the Coplanar Count

%QP for Parallel Count and

%QA for All Count

Hi @rehenryjr

but I can get the hole table exactly as You mentioned it to be..

One line, with the hole size and the hole count

Just changed the shown option to "Every Hole Size"

Sorry for the German SE picture, but I think You will find the right option in Yours.

I'm wating for an MP or two before I move to ST10. I hope the row height can now be controlled for hole tables. Is this the case? If it can, this will motivate me to upgrade to ST10. I have many drafts with extra pages just because the hole tables are twice the height they need to be.

Attached is an example.

Hi @12GAGE

due to the fact that hole tables are also controlled by the table format styles You can define anythin (what I have found so far)  what You want and what You need.

See example with one and the same hole table, but with changed values for text style

Again sorry for using the German interface

In ST9. the row height of every table can be controlled except hole tables. Note: the the row height no matter what the font is what I need.

Hi @12GAGE

and as I said, You can controll the hole table with the table styles now.

Above pictures of hole table have always the same text and text size in use.

I only changed the row height with offset values and line spacing value
