Not seen this before......my "Save As Flat" to DXF files just take on their SE name, as they always have.
I wonder if this is a setting in the BiDM [or similar] tools, of which we don't [can't] use, because our data is located on a NAS.

Yes I have seen this "new" behaviour when using the BiDM of ST10.
So if there is no automatic extension "_flat" without using BiDM, then this is coming from here.
Maybe someone can give an answer wether or not the text "_flat" can be defined.
Appending _flat in document number is intended change in ST10, specific to built in Data Management. This is done to avoid file uniqueness issue with Solid Edge file types (As we know Save As Flat allow users to save as flattened files with Solid Edge file extensions (PAR; PSM) or neutral file format (DXF). so that unique filename is generated based on <Document Number> and <Revision Number>.
Neverthless, there is no such restriction to DXF file format and user is allowed to provide any value as per his wish/need.
Yes, thanks, I find this as a good enhancement. But the question is: "Can I define the string for showing this is a flat pattern or must I have "_flat"?
Some users would like to have this in local language
