Hi there @Joris,

A couple of options.....one, you could adjust the side angle of the flange to 45 degrees, and that would get it close.

Two, you could change the process a little, making a rectangular tab first, then just extend the contour flange to those two edges, and the mitered corner is made automagically.

solid Works Multi flange video...

Doing this on solid Edge is cumbersome.
See a video of solid works.

This is the feature I want to apply to the edge.

Hi @Joris

easiset way here is to use a different approach right from the beginning.

Do not start with a contour flange, a cut out and two flanges.

Just start with a flat tap and a single contour flange.

That's it!

Hi @Joris

another also very easy way would be to do as suggested by @Hclee to use the angle value for the flanges and set them to 45 degrees

Hi hawcad..

I do not care about this question, but I would like to ask you.
I saw your macro DFTtoDXF Macro ..
It was using a separate option file ini.
It is very exciting for me.
If not, can I see the code that used the ini file?
I would also like some code.

Hi @Hclee

this is nothing secret nor special.

I simply have used those old vb6 INI procedures.

If You google for read from INI You will get tons of code and examples.

But to be honest.

I have changed my codes a while ago to use XML instead of INI.

This has to do with 2 reasons:

  1. XML read/write parser syntax is easier and better to use, I think more flexibel too
    and
  2. I have seen that with this old INI code I had problems under Win10
I have seen cases where the read from INI file delivered wrong results even if the code was exactly the same, the ini file was the old one but it didn't worked right.
