ST6 Measure between two hole center axis

Hi

Can some one tell me how to measure the distance between the center axis of two holes? I know that I can measure between two center points but that isnt usefull if the holes isnt on the same plane.

How would you do to measure the center distance between the two holes in the pic I have attached?

Thanks /Anders

Hi Anders,

simply a smart dimension between front and back hole circle.

When the first dimension isn't in the right plane just use the n/b key to switch to the next or before dim plane.

Good advice but it didn´t help me for all conditions. My smart dimension doesnt look like yours and I could only get horizontal and vertical measurements (in diff planes hitting n/b).

How did you get a diagonal measure in your picture? Is it ST6?

Looks like this for me.

Hi,

as for all smart dimensions in all environments it will be the same her:

Press the Shift-key before placing the dim will switch to direct distance instead of horicontal/vertical distance

Then place the dimension!

PS.: have a look to Your status bar, what it says.

Hope there is the info about Shift, T, etc. as it will be here at miine.
