[ST6] New graphic card and license

I'm going to buy a new graphic card for my workstation. Does anybody know if this hardware change requires a new license due to changes in CID?

Hi there @Alessandro,

I'm pretty sure the Composite Host ID [CID] is only unique machine identifier, and the graphics hardware and system drivers do not play a part in this.

Yeah, I've changed out graphics cards without needing license changes.

thank you to both! :-) From my experience, I can add that the CID-based license resists even to a "format c:" too.

Yeah, don't know what the composite host ID is composed of.

Re: [ST6] New graphic card and license

I have seen licensing tied to the Hard drive, CPU, network adapter, and any combination of the 3. Vid card and ram are upgrade frequenly, and they tend to not tie into that hardware.
