ST7: 3d sketch

I've just produced some parts based on sketches using the new 3d sketch in ST7, unfortunately once brought through into a draft SE won't allow dimensions or centre marks to be placed properly it's just creating nonsense and won't pick up on the geometry, it looks like I'll need to remodel all these parts using the frame feature!

Anyone else had this problem??

I have also noticed this. Have you loaded mp2 yet ? I was also wondering what that L dimension is all about. I thought it was length but it didn't seem to work out on my model and I can find it int he dimension tools.

Yes, MP02 installed, I think the L is length, and is the total length of the edge. Below is the view converted to 2D view. Just played with the swept protrusion setting turning off the merge face option, which seems to have solved this problem! My default settings must have changed since ST6.

Hi,

no, I can not come to the same results.

ST7 here produces a fine 3D part with a perfect draft of it.

See screenshot here:

All dimensions (smart dims) are perfect diameters or radii or linear dims.

Also the center lines (3d sketch) could be shown very easily.

Thanks Wolfgang, figured out it was a setting in the swept protrusion command, changed to 'no merge' and fixed Smiley Happy
