Hi Dave,

Yes, but there is a ceratin risk, to use those textures by accident without knwoing to use them.

Defining a material with that image defined will slow down SE, isn't it?

So I would like to tune the template in such a way, that even there will be no risk to use them some time.

Does this mean, I hav eto go to every material, looking which image it uses?

regards
Wolfgang

Wolfgang,

TBH, I know of no way using the Solid Edge interface to determine what image file is assigned to what material.  I personally would either take the time to open every material and review it for the image file or write a quick program to automate it -- depending on my evaluation on how long each solution would take to accomplish it.  Just because I can automate something, it may still be quicker to do it manually ;-)

Regards,

Re: ST8 MP03 seems slow.

I will give it a try @uk_dave, thanks for the possible tip.

I'm one of those that had performance problem due to missing image files in the past.

To check my assemblies at that time i made a simple vb program (able to also redefine image links).

Check this thread: https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/Solid-Edge-Forum/Low-performance-issue-in-large-Asse...

Ran sysinfo, two image files missing:

Images:
Missing:
\\Keyshot\KeyShot 3\Textures\Felt_bump.jpg
[\\Component\Misc\CM004706\CM004706-1.asm]

Wouldn't even know what to do to retrieve/replace these.  But to me, doesn't seem like a lot to slow down SE that much.

These textures are not even used in the material table. How do I fix this? And I know that they are not missing, but how do I fix the unused references?

Even the first few have never an image in them. What is going on?

Re: ST8 MP03 seems slow.

Does anyone know if there is a purge function, like in ACAD, in SE?

@Francesco

Hi, great tool, but is it possible to either provide the code or to change it in that way, that also parts and psm could be checked

thanks and regards
