ST9, Can't select reference planes in Assemble

Hi all,

I just upgraded to ST9 and am having a baffling issue.  I commonly assemble parts using the reference planes but it no longer works.  I'm using up-to-date Windows 10 on a BOXX machine with Quadro M2000, newest drivers.

Here's a video.  You can show the reference planes, but can't select them.  It doesn't matter how they're shown, whether using the auto show option or otherwise.

Thanks,

Ryan

Re: ST9, Can't select reference planes in Assemble

Hi there @rspoering,

I suspect it is because of the "Perspective" view setting......seems more dismisive of selection focus, in ST9. I have turned it off in all of our 3D envirenment templates.

Wow, that was it.  It would have taken me ages to figure that out!

Many thanks.

Re: ST9, Can't select reference planes in Assemble

Just saved me and another user a lot of trouble too ... thanks!  Had a user with the same problem, sounded familiar, looked it up, found this answer and voila!

Why on earth you can select a 'from' planar face of a solid for Mate but not a reference plane as the 'to' face when Perspective is set is beyond comprehension ...

I wonder the same.

[ Edited ]

I just tried it in ST10 and it appears to be fixed there. Also, it is not specific to Assemble/Mate/etc. - reference planes could not be located at all with perspective applied to the view when I tried it in ST9.
